Children Ministry
We believe that ministry to children is an inevitable function of the church. The foundations laid early in life; determine to a large extent, what happens in the future life of an individual.
Foundation Pillars
Ministry to children is driven by it’s identifiable foundation pillars: Spirit, Skill, Stewardship and Service
Philosophy of the Children’s Ministry
We are guided by these beliefs:
- Children are special blessings from the Lord and must be treated as God’s precious gifts.
- Children are a part of God’s family and they need to Love and Support of adults at all times.
- When children establish a vital relationship with God, they are most likely to discover and fulfil their God given destiny and purpose
Objectives
- To teach children to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour and help them experience the Love of God.
- To develop and teach lessons that will guide the child to be responsible and improve them and the environment.
- To help each child desire to serve God, church and the society; with spirit of excellence.
- To help each child know and understand that they are created in the image of God and that He has give them gifts, talents and abilities to develop for the benefit of society and themselves to his Glory.
Ministry Groupings
The ministry is divided into Four main groups to facilitate learning:
- Love Section: 2-5 years
- Joy Section: 6-8 years
- Peace Section: 9-11/12 years
- Omega Generation: 13-15years
Sunday Activities
- Effective Bible teaching
- Innovative group Bible discussions
- Teaching of Songs
- Other activities such as poetry recital, drama, etc.
We also organize rehearsals on some Saturdays for major celebrations
